Sustainability Consultant

We are seeking a highly skilled Sustainability Consultant to join a highly respected consultancy.
This role is pivotal in supporting their clients' sustainability initiatives through expertise in carbon sequestration methods, carbon abatement modelling, geospatial analysis, and environmental accounting.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the ACCU Scheme, carbon abatement tools (RMT and FullCAM), and Accounting for Nature (AfN).

Key Responsibilities: Carbon Sequestration Methods:
Analyze and implement carbon sequestration techniques in alignment with the ACCU Scheme, including forest management, soil carbon storage, and other relevant practices.

Carbon Abatement Modelling:
Utilize and apply carbon abatement modeling tools such as RMT (Reverse Modelling Tool) and FullCAM (Full Carbon Accounting Model) to evaluate and optimize carbon reduction strategies for clients.

Geospatial Analysis:
Conduct advanced geospatial analysis to support environmental assessments, project planning, and spatial data interpretation using GIS and related tools.

Accounting for Nature (AfN):
Apply AfN methodologies to measure and report environmental outcomes and impacts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant standards.

Client Advisory:
Provide expert advice and support to clients on carbon sequestration, abatement strategies, and geospatial data, helping them achieve their sustainability goals.

Report Preparation:
Develop comprehensive reports and presentations that clearly communicate findings, recommendations, and insights to clients and stakeholders.

Research and Development:
Stay updated on the latest developments in carbon sequestration methods, carbon modeling tools, and geospatial technologies to ensure cutting-edge solutions for clients.

Project Management:
Oversee project timelines, deliverables, and budgets, ensuring successful execution and client satisfaction.

Key Qualifications: Education:
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Geography, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
A Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., GIS Professional) is preferred.

Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in sustainability consulting, with a strong focus on carbon sequestration, carbon abatement modelling, and geospatial analysis.

Skills: Proficiency in ACCU Scheme sequestration methods and relevant carbon accounting tools.

Experience with carbon abatement modelling tools such as RMT and FullCAM.

Advanced skills in geospatial analysis and GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS).

Knowledge of Accounting for Nature (AfN) methodologies and reporting practices.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.

Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-specialist audiences.
