About the role
As a forward-thinking organization committed to sustainability, we are looking for a Sustainability Analyst who will play a key role in driving our Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) Strategy forward.
This role is not just about collecting data; it's about making a significant impact on our organization's long-term sustainability by providing insights that guide strategic decision-making and operational excellence.
This role offers the opportunity to leverage your analytical, financial, and project management skills to shape the future of our ESG initiatives.
You will be working closely with key stakeholders, including Executive leaders, to ensure that our sustainability efforts are not only compliant but also strategically aligned with our business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial & Data Analysis: Utilize your expertise in financial and data analysis to develop and refine processes for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting sustainability data.
Ensure that the data aligns with both regulatory requirements and the strategic goals of the organization, providing accurate, actionable insights that support decision-making at the highest levels.
Strategic Performance Monitoring: Monitor and evaluate the performance and impact of the Group's ESG Strategy, leveraging your analytical skills to produce detailed reports for the Board and Executive team.
Track key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure that our sustainability initiatives deliver measurable business value.
Regulatory Compliance & ESG Standards: Stay at the forefront of evolving sustainability reporting standards and regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with the Manager Sustainability to ensure our ESG reporting is robust, compliant, and reflective of best practices in the industry.
Business Process Improvement: Apply your experience in business analysis and consulting to identify opportunities for process improvements that enhance our sustainability efforts.
Work with cross-functional teams to implement changes that drive operational efficiency and strengthen our ESG performance.
Stakeholder Engagement & Advisory: Partner with a wide range of stakeholders, including finance, operations, and executive teams, to ensure alignment and successful delivery of sustainability projects.
Use your consulting skills to advise on best practices and facilitate workshops or discussions that promote sustainability throughout the organization.
Campaign Management & Coordination: Lead and coordinate sustainability campaigns and initiatives, applying your project management expertise to plan, execute, and monitor these activities.
From ideation to delivery, ensure that each campaign is aligned with our strategic objectives and delivered on time and within budget.
Climate Action Plan Oversight: Oversee the implementation and tracking of the Group Climate Action Plan, working closely with Executive Owners to ensure that targets are met and progress is accurately reported.
Provide strategic insights to guide the organization's climate-related decisions.
Reporting & Communication: Leverage your experience in reporting and communication to develop clear, compelling sustainability reports for the Annual Report and other key stakeholders.
Ensure that all communications are aligned with the organization's broader ESG narrative and business strategy.
What You Will Bring:
Analytical Expertise: Strong proficiency in financial analysis, data manipulation, and interpretation.
Ability to translate complex data into actionable insights that drive business decisions and support the organization's sustainability goals.
Consulting & Advisory Skills: Experience in consulting or business analysis, with a proven ability to advise and guide stakeholders on process improvements, strategic initiatives, and best practices related to sustainability.
Project Management: Demonstrated experience in managing projects, with the ability to oversee multiple initiatives simultaneously.
Strong organizational skills and a track record of delivering projects on time and within scope.
ESG & Regulatory Knowledge: A solid understanding of ESG frameworks, sustainability reporting standards, and regulatory requirements.
Ability to stay updated on industry trends and integrate them into the organization's strategy.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Experience in facilitating workshops, meetings, and discussions to drive consensus and action.
Advanced Technical Skills: Proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis, and reporting tools, particularly within the MS Office suite (including Project and SharePoint).
Familiarity with tools like Mural/Miro and Tech One is a plus.
Continuous Improvement Mindset: A proactive approach to identifying opportunities for improvement and driving change.
Ability to think strategically and apply a continuous improvement mindset to all aspects of the role.
