Sushi Sushi, Australia's largest Sushi company, is going through exponential growth with a core focus on increasing our footprint across Australia as well as exciting international opportunities. We are currently looking for a VIC State Manager to support our brand and Company Store Managers.
The State Manager is responsible for ensuring our network of company-owned stores are the epitome of retail excellence – in their presentation, customer service, product quality, and ultimately sales performance. This role requires attention to detail and a care factor to notice all the one-percenters that can either make or break a customer experience, and ensure issues are resolved on the spot.
This will be a dynamic and fast-paced role that requires dedication and determination to achieve success. You will need to roll up your sleeves and be hands-on across all aspects of our businesses, lead our teams by example, and take our state to the next level. You will also need to have exceptional leadership skills, value relationship building and management, coupled with big picture thinking and strong financial acumen.
The successful person will have:
Experience in Food Retail State operations roles, essential. A sense of ownership and drive for making a difference in a developing business. A passion for QSR, hospitality, and casual dining restaurants. A proven and innovative leadership style with the ability to motivate managers and peers as well as drive exceptional performance. Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment with a strong focus on results. Highly developed communication skills, and proven stakeholder, customer, and staff relationship management skills. Experience in the effective management of food safety. Willingness to work a flexible schedule and ability to travel when required. Your key responsibilities would include:
Developing, delivering, and promoting strategies that will grow sales, increase productivity within stores, and reduce operational costs. Closely overseeing controllable operating costs in all company stores, including labour and product COGS, to drive efficiencies. Collaborating with each department to ensure store requirements are understood and supported. Managing the Food Safety Program, including keeping up to date with changes in legislation that may affect operations. Managing, reviewing, and ensuring adherence to all business policies and procedures (including Standard Operating Procedures). Regularly reviewing overall store budgets, COGS, and wages to identify continuous improvement initiatives. Leading, coaching, and developing our Company Retail Managers and Company store teams to reach their full potential. We look forward to hearing from you!
