Working both independently and as part of our talented team you will have the opportunity to work across numerous rail civil infrastructure projects throughout Central Queensland. This role offers a unique opportunity to apply various aspects of the surveying profession and be a part of projects from the initial stages right through to completion.Carry out engineering rail surveys for pre-construction and provide survey support for rail and civil construction worksSupport the development of geospatial deliverables, formats and standards, principles and procedures, methodologies and techniques in pursuit of best practice in innovation, cost effective and safe infrastructure designAs directed, carry out Computer Aided Design CAD work (eg rail alignments) and prepare other Geospatial / Survey documented outputs (eg as con reports) relevant to railway engineering infrastructure projectsRespond to and communicate effectively with stakeholders and colleagues through applying quality interpersonal and communication skillsContribute to the identification of opportunities for business improvement, technology development and innovation to support Aurizon's Geospatial Survey systemsProvide professional advice in the preparation of geospatial proposals and estimatesAbout you:Associates/Bachelor's degree of Spatial Science (Surveying) or equivalent (Preferred)3+ years Surveying experience (Preferred)Rail, Construction or Engineering Surveying experience highly advantageousLeica or Topcon instrument experience & 12d software experience advantageousRegistration with Surveyors Board of Queensland (preferred)You'll be able to prioritise work accordingly, manage your own time effectively and work autonomouslyBe an excellent verbal and written communicatorApplicants currently studying a Surveying qualification who are working as a Surveyor or are looking to are also encouraged to enquire regarding opportunities Aurizon can offer.At Aurizon we believe in connectionIt is our ability to connect that strengthens communities, industries and builds economies.
