Job Description Following the success of a recent merger, our Canberra office is looking to expand the Land Surveying team to support all forms of survey with a strong focus on cadastral.
You'll have the unique opportunity to build, develop and grow your surveying career within a multidisciplinary consultancy with a booming portfolio of work already in the pipeline.
In addition, you'll be part of a nationwide network of surveyors from diverse backgrounds and projects.
About the opportunity Starting out as a Survey Technician or Assistant, you'll be joining a large network of survey professionals who work across our business.
You'll gain hands-on experience while being supported and mentored by industry-leading professionals in an organisation that puts the development of its people at the forefront.
We will provide full on-the-job training as well as support through tertiary studies to see you become a qualified Survey Technician or Land Surveyor.
Supporting the party leader on-site, this role has the potential to be your foot in the door for a long and fulfilling career in the field of surveying.
Initially, the role will see you: Operating and setting up surveying equipment Carrying out routine maintenance and adjustments Supporting project surveyors with setouts and subdivision surveying Assisting with small and large-scale feature surveys Coordinating survey control networks Gaining an introduction and hands-on experience with laser scanning and UAV/drone technology About you You've been described as self-motivated and enthusiastic, and you love working outdoors.

You will come to us with: A demonstrated ability to solve problems under guidance, using tools and technology Experience working on construction sites, in the building industry or similar environments which require a strong adherence to safety practices is preferred - having a White Card will be highly regarded.
A team-centric approach and experience following instructions in a safety-critical environment Driver's License is essential as this role is site-based and our worksites are located across the ACT.
Diploma in surveying or willingness to obtain.
