The Project CIMIC Group companies Pacific Partnerships, CPB Contractors and UGL, along with JV Partner John Holland, and as part of the Canberra Metro consortium, will finance, design, build and operate the next stage of Canberra's world class light rail system, Stage 2A from the City to Commonwealth Park.
The Canberra Light Rail Stage 2A project is jointly funded by the Australian Government and the Australian Capital Territory (ACT) Government. Canberra Metro was awarded the $577 million contract following a single select procurement process, generating revenue of approximately $227.5 million for CPB Contractors and UGL.
The Stage 2A "catenary free" or wireless extension will be delivered under Canberra Metro's existing public private partnership (PPP) with the ACT Government.
Your opportunity We are seeking to appoint an experienced Survey Manager to support the Canberra Light Rail Stage 2A project. The role will be focused on leading the survey and data management function and coordinating all survey control, model design and survey activities.
Your responsibilities in the role will include:
Managing project survey operation requirements including total station, GPS, machine guidance and laser scanning technologiesOrganising and working with subcontracted survey crewsImplementation of project survey processes including survey control networks, detailed design survey, construction set-out, as-built survey, survey data management systems and QA requirementsDevelopment of machine controlOur minimum requirements for this role are:
Ideally, over 5 years' experience as a Survey Manager on civil and rail projectsCertification in SurveyingStrong attitude and awareness of safetyHigh level verbal and written communication skillsProven experience managing a surveying teamCompetency in survey software packages such as 12d, TerramodelCompetency in CAD/drafting software packages such as Autocad, MicrostationThis role is based in Canberra. You will have the option of Drive In Drive Out (DIDO) or an attractive relocation package that includes removalist costs. CPB Contractors is an equal-opportunity employer.
