The Draftsperson plays a pivotal role in generating clear, comprehensive, and precise working and detailed plans. These plans are derived from rough or detailed sketches, electronic methods, or notes. The responsibilities of this position encompass the preparation of various plan types, including survey, cadastral, topographical detail, as constructed, town planning, and environmental plans, as well as subdivision design and associated calculations.

Demonstrates proactive risk addressing for client solutions.Collaboration: Works closely with planners and surveyors to contribute to the success of projects from inception to delivery.Industry Awareness: Keeps abreast of industry changes, including broader developments, to stay informed and relevant.Professional Development: Actively develops job knowledge and expertise through continual professional growth.Reputation Management: Assists in maintaining RPS' positive reputation in the market.Professional Conduct: Demonstrates a highly professional manner in dealings with sub-contractors and clients as required.Technology Integration: Displays a solid understanding of technology, leveraging available tools to provide value-added services to clients.Adaptability: Undertakes any other reasonable requirements for the Survey Team.Education and Experience: Academic Background: Completed or undertaking an undergraduate degree in surveying or equivalent (preferred).Drafting Experience: Demonstrates a minimum of 2 years of drafting experience within the surveying environment.AutoCAD Proficiency: Displays intermediate to advanced skills using AutoCAD (mandatory).Survey Software Competency: Exhibits acceptable competency levels with other survey software such as SurvaCAD, Magnet, 12D, Civil3D, or similar.GIS Software Familiarity: Familiarity with GIS software such as Mapinfo, Arcview Global Mapper, or similar.Cadastral Drafting Expertise: Experience with Queensland cadastral drafting processes/SurvaCAD is highly regarded.About You Like our best performers, you will be a driven and energetic professional, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
