The Role
We are seeking a Principal Mechanical Engineer - Hydropower as technical lead to join our National Dams and Hydropower business to work closely with our other team specialists on a significant hydropower project.
This role will be based in our Brisbane office.
Suitable applicants will have / be :
Tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering
15+ years' professional industry experience in mechanical design / design review of hydro and / or pumped storage hydro systems
Technical expertise in hydropower generation equipment – pumps / turbines, hydro generator, main inlet valves
Detail engineering design of E&M equipment for hydropower and pumped storage schemes (turbines, main inlet valves, mechanical components for generators, mechanical BoP and hydromechanical equipment)
Extensive experience in feasibility studies, tender and detail design, site supervision, commissioning and rehabilitation
Sound understanding in mechanical design to Australian standards
