About the role: You are a high performer, who is flexible, adaptable and remains calm under pressure. This role is your opportunity to be a 2IC to our Supported Living Manager - based in a SIL home Casino- and to take your career to the next level in NDIS. You have a thorough understanding of administration tasks, rostering and relish the opportunity for a challenge in problem solving. You embrace diversity and being responsive to the needs and aspirations of people with a disability. Ideally, we would like the role to be 4-5 days a week with your key responsibilities including:
Coordinating the day-to-day operations of supported living servicesEnsuring a homely, respectful and inclusive home environment is provided for our participantsMaking sure staff are supporting participants with a person-centered approachLeading teams by example and providing ongoing training, mentoring and support for residential support workersConsulting with and sustaining open, transparent communication with the families, carers and guardians of the participants we support and other external stakeholders such as allied health professionals and medical practitionersCoordinating resources, rosters and budgets effectively and in line with the SCHADS Award to ensure ongoing sustainability of servicesWorking with HR to maintain compliance with policies, Behaviour Support Plans, participant goals and NDIS regulations and standardsAssisting the Manager in planning, organising and developing the establishment and growth of accommodation servicesBeing flexible to step in and cover shifts where requiredA positive attitude towards people with disabilities and a working knowledge of the NDIS Disability Service StandardsExceptional interpersonal skills, a high level of emotional intelligence and the ability to build trust and develop rapportDemonstrable experience leading and mentoring a high-performing teamSignificant experience within accommodation services and an understanding of what quality service looks likeThe ability to work with staff and external stakeholders to support participants develop independence and work towards their goalsA sound understanding of the SCHADS Award and experience with managing rostersHigh level administration skills and the ability to manage your workload effectively to achieve agreed outcomes in a dynamic environmentRelevant tertiary qualifications in Disability / Community Services preferredCurrent, unrestricted NSW Drivers License and good driving recordCurrent Working with Children Check & NDIS Workers Screening CheckCurrent First Aid and CPR CertificateTo Apply: Applications must be submitted through SEEK to be considered for the role.
