About Your Role: As an Allara Supported Independent Living Manager you will play a key role in empowering the people we support, to live independently & to live their best life. Although this role is based in Mayfield, you may be required to work from our Head Office in Penrith 1 day per week.
Our Mayfield service is a shared Supported Independent Living arrangement with 8 units featuring bedroom and private ensuite. You will be managing a service that provides 24/7 shared support.
As our Supported Independent Living Manager, you will be reporting to our Senior Manager – Client Services.
Duties include: Roster coordination & client managementMatching participants to the right support workerSupporting and training our team of support workersFacilitating monthly meetingsDocumentation, reports & data collectionCommunicating with all stakeholders including participants, their families and other allied health or medical professionalsAssistance with capacity building tasks and goalsAt Allara Support Services we are only as good as our people! The ideal candidate will have the following (although training will be provided for an internal candidate with the right attitude): Scheduling and rostering experience within the disability services sector.Experience in home care, running a SIL service and/or disability service.The ability to provide support and training to a team of support workers.Strong desire to provide great support to people with a disability to increase and maintain independence.Positive, energetic, can-do attitude with a passion for working with people.The ability to multitask and prioritise workload demands and cope calmly under pressure.High level of computer & administration literacy including developing support plans, client risk profiles, service agreements etc.Highly developed verbal and written communication skills.Excellent organisational, interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills.Strong attention to detail.NDIS worker screening clearance.If you would like to join our amazing team of Support Workers, please hit the APPLY button now.
