Aged & Disability Support (Community Services & Development)
Carers Collective is seeking passionate and dedicated Support Workers to provide tailored care and support for male participants. Join our teams across Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast, with opportunities in suburbs such as Burpengary, Wynnum, Wellington Point, Zillmere, and Caboolture.
As a casual Support Worker, you will play a vital role in ensuring our participants receive personalised care in the comfort of their own homes, promoting independence and dignity.
What does a typical shift look like? Each day is unique, depending on the needs of our participants. Tasks may include:
Assisting with personal care, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. Preparing meals and supporting participants with nutrition needs. Providing light housekeeping, laundry, and other domestic assistance. Supporting participants to achieve their goals for independence and daily living. Providing companionship and emotional support to participants, engaging them in social and recreational activities. Documenting care provided in line with company policies and industry standards. What we're looking for A Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent qualification in Aged Care, Disability, or Community Services. Previous experience in a similar support worker or care assistant role, preferably within the aged care or disability sectors. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and empathise with clients. A genuine passion for making a positive difference in the lives of others and a commitment to person-centred care. The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment. A current First Aid including CPR certificate.
