What is the role on offer?Carers Collective is seeking passionate and dedicated Support Workers to join our teams across a variety of suburbs across Brisbane, including Redcliffe, Park Ridge, Wynnum, Capalaba, Algester, Zillmere, Caboolture, and many others, as well as the Sunshine Coast, QLD.
As a casual Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing personalised care and support to our participants, helping them to live independently and engage with their local community.
What does a typical shift look like? A typical day depends on our participants and the type of support they need, as we always want to ensure their care is person-centered.
Assisting participants with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and light housekeepingProviding companionship and emotional support to participants, engaging them in social and recreational activitiesAdvocating for participant needs and preferences, and collaborating with the wider care team to ensure a holistic approachMaintaining accurate records and documentation in line with industry standards and company policiesWhat we're looking for A Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent qualification in Aged Care, Disability, or Community ServicesPrevious experience in a similar support worker or care assistant role, preferably within the aged care or disability sectorsStrong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and empathise with clientsA genuine passion for making a positive difference in the lives of others and a commitment to person-centred careThe ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environmentA current First Aid including CPR certificateA current driver's licence and access to reliable transportationWhat we offer Competitive hourly rates and flexible work arrangements to suit your lifestyleOngoing professional development opportunities and supportEmployee discounts and wellbeing initiatives to promote a healthy work-life balanceA supportive and inclusive workplace culture that values your contributionAbout usCarers Collective is a leading provider of community-based care and support services in Queensland.
