About the Role Support Workers are key members of the Community Care services team and will share knowledge and experience to assist in the support of aged care and disability clients.
Primary Objective Support Workers will deliver high quality services to clients through:
Social Supports and accessing the communityMedication assistance and health support including accessing medical servicesPersonal Care and supporting clients to maintain personal hygiene and groomingDomestic assistance and general household dutiesSupport and empower clients to achieve their personal goalsWhat We're Looking For: A team playerSomeone with the ability to be flexible, strong and resilient in various challenging situationsExperience with personal care, medications, manual handling and behaviour support plansCurrent C or CA Driver's license (QLD)Current First Aid & CPRIn addition to the above, you will need to demonstrate: Experience in client focused rolesAbility to adapt communication to individual client needsAbility to recognise risks and incidents, react appropriately and report accuratelyCertificate III or higher in a relevant qualification with a minimum of 12 months industry experienceKnowledge and skills gained through on-the-job training commensurate with the requirements of the work in this levelThe successful candidate will also be required to demonstrate entitlement to work in Australia, and to disclose any pre-existing injury or disease which may be adversely affected by undertaking the inherent requirements of the position.
All offers of employment are subject to the satisfactory completion of relevant screening and background checks, including an Australian Federal Police check, an NDIS disability worker screening check, and attainment of a Blue Card for working with children, prior to commencement.
