20th September, 2024 We are seeking a motivated and passionate individual to join our team in a full time capacity as the Support Worker Supervisor & Administration West Wimmera Health Service provides high-quality hospital care, residential aged care, disability services and community health facilities to more than 22,000 people in the West Wimmera region.
ABOUT THE ROLE/S: The Support Worker Supervisor & Administration will supervise the overall operations of Support Workers across all sites, including day to day management.
Maintain the staff rostering system through Polixen and Pay Global.
Provide clerical support to Community Care Business Co-ordinator.
Assist with other general administrative duties as required KEY SELECTION CRITERIA: Essential: Relevant qualification (Management, Cert III or higher in Aged Care/ Disability field) and/or experience in Community Health field.
Knowledge and understanding of the Aged Care Standards.
Effective communication and organisational skills including the ability to communicate with clients, carers and their families.
Analytical skills with accuracy and attention to detail, especially when working to strict timelines.
Ability to work autonomously as well as enjoy working within a team.
Competent in using and operating computer software packages (i.e.
Microsoft Office and client software program).
Ability to multi-task and be able to prioritise tasks.
Desirable: Previous experience supervising staff.
Previous experience in a rural setting.
Competence in using Pay Global and Polixen.
Experience in the disability and/or aged care field.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Supervise Support Workers across all sites.
Assist with the implementation of the Quality Activity program, including participation in preventative maintenance programs.
Identify and make recommendations for minor works projects relative to the area.
In conjunction with the Community Care Business Co-Ordinator and Community Operations Manager develop strategies for implementation of changes to service provision, reflecting external requirements, standards and the needs of the community.
Assist with the development and review of Diversity and Wellness and reablement plans.
PRE-REQUISITES: NDIS Worker Screening Clearance Working with Children Check Fully vaccinated for COVID-19 as per current Department of Health Directive.
