Night awake shifts require you to stay awake in the home overnight working alongside another support worker. Shifts run from evening until early morning with 7 shifts a fortnight including one weekend.
As a high intensity care home, this location offers a base hourly pay rate of $37.55, with 15% loading for weekdays ($43.44) and weekend loading on the base rate. It is essential that candidates hold a minimum Cert 3 Individual Support (CHC33015/33021) qualification.

A typical day as a Support Worker may look like: Delivering a wide range of domestic supports within high-needs customer residence;Supporting person-centred plans that identify a customer's life goals;Ensuring positive behaviour support plans are followed;Administration duties, expense and mandatory reports.The ideal candidate will be an experienced support worker and: Be qualified in Cert III in Individual Support (CHC33015 or CHC33021) - essentialAs a high intensity home, having experience with the following would be beneficial: supporting behaviours of concern, bowel care, catheter, diabetes, epilepsy, mental health and psychosocial supportWillingness to support customers of any gender by assisting with personal care (showering, toileting, medication administration) and domestic duties (meal preparation, housekeeping)Passion for providing service and assistance and helping others live their best livesHold a Cert IV in Mental Health (CHC43315) - well regarded, but not essentialWillingness to use your fully insured and registered, private vehicle (aligned with Activ's motor vehicle allowance rebate).We are Activ.
