Support Worker – Intensive Family Support (IFS) Service IMPACT Community Services is seeking a dedicated Support Worker for our Intensive Family Support (IFS) Service , Hervey Bay & Fraser Coast QLD.
This role focuses on assisting vulnerable and at-risk families to build their capacity to care for and nurture their children safely.
Working collaboratively with IFS Case Managers, you will provide hands-on support through home visits, practical assistance, and transportation for clients.
By strengthening family protective factors, you will help create safer environments where children and young people can thrive at home.
This role requires adherence to the National Principles for Child Safe Organisations , and a commitment to safeguarding the wellbeing of children and young people.
To make a difference in this role, you will have experience in the following: Supporting families in their homes and assisting with practical tasks to achieve case plan goals.
Identifying and reporting immediate safety concerns.
Building structured, outcomes-focused relationships with children, young people, and their parents.
Collaborating with a team to communicate safety concerns, family strengths, and additional support needs transparently.
