About Us Novita provides early intervention, rehabilitation, therapy, assistive technology and disability services to more than 4,300 people living with disability, as well as support for their families and carers. Job DescriptionAbout the Role Permanent Part Time and Casual position's available, up to 76.0 hours per fortnight, rostered over mornings, afternoons, passive & active shifts over a 7-day week, in supported independent living accommodation in Port Pirie.
As a Support Worker your key responsibilities will include:
Supporting people with disabilities to live independently, providing compassion, care and connectionAttention to detail and accuracy in record managementInterpreting and acting upon client's communication needsFollowing Client care plans and mealtime guidelinesIdentifying and responding to individual health and wellbeing concerns and recording observationsAdministering prescribed medication and accurately recording the information in accordance with the Health Care PolicyAbout you As well as being aligned with Novita's ICARE values, you will bring:
Flexible availability and able to work in a 7 day round the clock roster.Current NDIS Worker and DHS Working with Children clearance's (or willing to obtain prior to employment) Certificate III in Individualised Support, Disability, Community Services (or equivalent) or willingness to obtain a certificationEffective verbal and written communication skillsMaintaining a strong client focusWillingness to learn and advance your career in the Disability SectorHave a passion to support and care for people with disability.
