One should be adaptable and flexible to work with individuals with diverse special needs and to help frail, older people, including the prematurely aged, living in the community to maximize their independence.

About the Role
Choice Consultancy and their sister company Deivian Care is looking for Support Workers in Mildura (VIC) and surrounding areas with expertise helping vulnerable and marginalized persons through high-quality case management, social work, and outreach. You will play an important role for many participants who may be excluded from mainstream healthcare, social support, and opportunities, negatively impacting their functioning and independence in the community.
Clients' Program requires morning/day/ afternoon shifts with 1:1 support
Disabilities: Profoundly Autistic, with profound Intellectual Disabilities and visually impaired. Fully nonverbal, is fully incontinent and relies on dedicated support.
Mental Health conditions: Generalised Anxiety.
We are looking for people that can help support Client at home and once they are comfortable and familiar with him to start taking him on little outings etc.
Daily Activities include his personal care, maintaining hygiene of surrounding areas, community access
There is currently a roster of supports 7 days a week, weekdays from 9am until 6pm, Saturday 9am until 6pm and Sunday 9am until 4pm. Extending supports into evening hours is being considered and there are live in supports needed when travelling.
Prior experience in dealing with high spectrum Autism and its implications will be welcomed and is preferred.
