Responsibilities: Encourage the people we support to make their own choices about everyday things such as what to wear, what to do, what to eat, as well as bigger decisions such as where to live, how to spend their money, or where to go on holiday. Enable the people we support to fulfill those choices, including structured activities which help each individual to develop their confidence and skills. Support individuals in meeting their responsibilities such as paying bills, looking after their homes, being good neighbours, and maintaining contact with friends and family. Encourage involvement in Company-related activities such as training, recruitment of new staff, and attending house meetings. Requirements: Support individuals in carrying out normal household tasks. Understand principles of respect and dignity. Demonstrate patience and empathy. Provide intimate personal care with dignity and respect. Exhibit good communication skills adaptable to various situations. Represent individuals to a range of professionals within and outside of Cartrefi Cymru. Possess good written skills to record events with empathy and meaning. Have a basic ability to use a computer for record-keeping and information retrieval. Demonstrate good observational skills. Work effectively as part of a team. Adhere to consistent standards. Make decisions and follow them through. Be creative and organized. Manage and record finances. Possess a valid driving license and have access to a vehicle.
