Position: Disability Support Worker Why Join Us?
Flexible employment: Casual positions with the potential for permanent part-time.
Work with a team dedicated to improving lives and fostering independence for individuals with disabilities.
Key Responsibilities Provide in-home, community access, and/or centre-based support to individuals with disabilities.
Assist with personal care tasks, including grooming, showering, and bowel health management.
Perform manual handling and hoist transfers (training available if needed).
Support participants with meal preparation, domestic assistance, and maintaining their environment.
Facilitate social, recreational, and educational activities.
Collaborate to achieve participants' goals using person-centred approaches.
Requirements Mandatory: Blue Card for working with children.
NDIS Worker Screening or Yellow Card.
Current Queensland driver's license.
First Aid Certificate (HLTAID003 or equivalent) & CPR.
Preferred: Certificate III in Individual Support, Disability, or Community Services (preferred but not essential).
Experience in the disability or aged care sector (or willingness to undertake training).
Knowledge of Person-Centred Practices.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Flexibility with working hours, including mornings, overnight shifts, and weekends.
High attention to detail and the ability to multi-task effectively.
What We're Looking For We are seeking individuals with a positive attitude, a willingness to learn, and a passion for improving the lives of others.
Experience in hoisting, manual handling, or working with behaviours guided by Positive Behaviour Support Plans (PBSP) is highly regarded.
Service Areas: This role will support individuals with NDIS packages across Kingaroy and surrounding areas.
