Casual and Permanent Part time support worker roles available in Innisfail, QLDBuddy shifts and training shifts to help you in your role35 to 41 guaranteed hours every fortnight and extra shifts to pick up24/7 SIL house and community shifts, morning, afternoon, overnight and weekend workTo be considered for this role you must be available to do shift work including overnights, sleepovers and weekend work. You will provide home-based support such as meal management and personal care, and transport the people we support into the community for appointments and activities.
Day to day duties will include:
Helping people to achieve their NDIS goals by developing important daily skills such as housekeeping, personal care, social skills and budgeting.Assisting with aspects of personal care where required.Supporting with meal planning, cooking, light cleaning and facilitating community connection.Providing support during daily activities such as going for a walk, going to the movies or accompanying to an appointment.Helping the people we support to maintain a connection to their family, friends, and services.What do you need to become a Support Worker? A passion for working in disability services.You are a true people person who is passionate, patient, empathetic and resilient.Flexibility to work various shifts including days, evening, early morning, weekends and sleepovers.The capacity to meet the physical requirements as some manual handling tasks may be involved.Commitment to privacy and confidentiality.Good computer skills and experience using Word, Excel and Outlook.A Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) would be great but it's not a #J-18808-Ljbffr
