On Offer: Based in Dubbo, NSWPart-time (0.6 FTE) permanent opportunitySCHADs Level 3 plus SuperSalary packaging options (up to $15,899 tax free!!)Meals and entertainment allowance of up to $2,650!!Leave loading at 17.5%Stride Rewards – access to discounts from 100s of retailers (fashion, food and fitness)Paid parental leave supportOne paid wellbeing leave day per yearPurchase up to 5 additional leave days in a 12 month period (pro rata entitlement if part-time)Excellent training & career developmentRole Overview: Encourage and support the recovery process of people with a mental illness.Provide support to a Day Program that will consist primarily of group work focusing on psychoeducational, skills development, recovery, healthy lifestyles and community connectedness.Deliver mental health programs in a voluntary inpatient unit setting.Provide support that is sensitive, client-focused, community-oriented and planned.Workdays will be Thursdays, Fridays and a half day Sunday.Requirements: Minimum of a Cert IV in a Community services related discipline (ideally a completed degree or Diploma).Experience and skills in working with people experiencing mental illness.Experience in facilitating group programs.Possess awareness of the needs, expectations and issues pertaining to clients with mental illness.Demonstrate effective listening, communication skills, empathy; and the capacity to relate with others with dignity and respect.Have a strong client-focused and recovery-based philosophy.Ability to work in partnership with clients, family/carers, and other social and community networks.Ability to implement and facilitate planned activities resulting in greater community access and support.Good computer skills.Must be eligible to apply/currently hold a WWCC.Must hold/be willing to apply for NDIS worker screening clearance.Current Drivers License.Stride is committed to the safeguarding of children and vulnerable people.
