Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential care and support to individuals in need, ensuring their well-being and enhancing their quality of life. This role involves assisting with daily living activities, medication administration, and offering emotional support to clients, including those with specific needs such as dementia care.
Responsibilities Provide patient care and support to individuals in various settings, including nursing homes and private residences.Assist clients with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and mobility support.Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients for any changes in health or behaviour.Engage in behaviour management techniques to support clients with challenging behaviours.Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required.Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals.Foster a supportive and nurturing environment that promotes dignity and respect for all clients.Experience Previous experience in patient care or a similar role is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.Knowledge of dementia care practices is advantageous.Experience in childcare or working with individuals with special needs is beneficial.A background in nursing or related fields is desirable but not mandatory.Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams are essential.If you are passionate about making a difference in the lives of others and possess the necessary skills to provide high-quality support, we encourage you to apply for this rewarding position as a Support Worker.
