Permanent Part time and Casual positions (AM & PM- Shifts )
Pay Rate - $25.85 Per Hour
About the role
As a Catering Assistant you will make a difference each and every day in providing healthy, hearty and delicious meals prepared by our Chef. Reporting to the Home Manager, you will support the Chef/ Chef Manager and your team to deliver a high quality catering service to our residents. This is a casual position with shifts across a fortnightly roster.
Key Responsibilities
Support service delivery under the direction of the Chef/Cook
Prepare daily meals and beverages that meet individual needs of each resident including special dietary requirements, allergies and culturally specific as instructed by the Chef or Cook.
Work with Care team to plate and deliver meals, ensuring familiarity with menus and the needs and preferences of individual residents within the home
Complete cleaning tasks in accordance with the cleaning schedule, filling in appropriate sign off sheets
Document resident's requirements and any "exceptional" changes which occurs for the resident on shift
About you
Demonstrated experience in food preparation and food safety
Food Handling Certificate (HLTFSE001 - Follow Basic Food Safety Practices) - Desirable
Effective interpersonal communication; both written and verbal
Demonstrated ability to prioritise workloads
Commitment to continuous quality improvement
Working knowledge of WH&S and Infection Control
Ability to operate standard domestic and industrial equipment
Availability to work AM shift (7am -3pm) and PM shift (4pm-8pm)
