They bring our vision to life – helping those we serve to pursue the lives they hope for and enabling the communities we are part of to thrive.  As a member of the Lutheran Services team, you will enjoy a great work-life balance, generous benefits, flexible arrangements and ongoing opportunities for professional development and career progression.  About the role:  As a Support Worker – Home Care you will be assisting the elderly in our community to maintain their independence and live their fullest lives at home by assisting with dressing or showering, transfers to shopping or doctors appointments, cooking and light domestic tasks. Your daily work tasks would be what you would do to care for your own family and the bonus of getting paid to do it. We are wanting vibrant people to come and help our clients live rewarding and enriching lives.  As our ideal candidate, you will:  Be confident and outgoing  Have great communication skills  Be patient and have a sense of humour  Have empathy and compassion.  Have prior experience working as a support worker or the drive to learn.  Hold a current Workers Yellow card or obtain one.  Have a Certificate III in Individual Support or be enrolled in a current course.  Have an unrestricted Qld driver's licence and a well maintained, comprehensively insured motor vehicle.  We have permanent part time, and casual positions available.  What we can offer you:  A flexible and professional work environment in an organisation that genuinely cares.
