As a Support Worker for Real Community Services, you will be supporting people who have complex disabilities to live independently, strive toward achieving their goals, and have more involvement within their community.
About Us Real Community Services was established in January 2006 and now provides thousands of personal support hours per week to hundreds of people with disability, acquired brain injury or neurological conditions by focusing on empowering and improving their lifestyles.
We provide quality services across the Sunshine Coast, Greater Brisbane, Ipswich as well as the Gold Coast areas.
About the Opportunity As Real Community Services grows, so do the opportunities we have available.
We currently have positions opening in our fantastic SDA and SIL homes in Gympie.
This opportunity provides you with specialised, client-specific training by the Nurses from our Allied Health Team.
SDA is 1:1 support on a 24/7, active overnight roster. Our participant will require female staff to assist with:
Dressing Changes Hoisting High levels of personal care Domestic duties Medication management SIL home is 1:2 24/7 inactive overnight. Our participants will require female staff to assist with:
Psychosocial support Stoma care (training provided) Assistance with personal care Domestic assistance Medication management If you are the right fit for the teams, you can expect a solid roster with flexible work hours depending on your availability.
Skills – Full Australian working rights Work experience or certificate in disability support work Current first aid and CPR (or willing to obtain) Paid employee Blue card (Working with children check) or willing to obtain before employment Paid employee National Disability Worker Screening Clearance (yellow card) or willing to obtain before employment Drivers Licence Smart phone with internet access Two current (within the last 2 years) professional references from a supervisor (essential) If you are passionate about supporting people living with a disability and would like to work in a role that is both challenging and rewarding, we would love to hear from you.
