As a Support worker for Real Community Services you will be supporting people who have complex and challenging disabilities to live independently as well as achieving their goals and have a more valued role withing their community. About Us Real Community Services was established in January 2006 and now provides thousands of personal support hours per week to hundreds of people with disability, acquired brain injury or neurological conditions by focusing on empowering and improving their lifestyles. Providing quality services across the Sunshine Coast, Greater Brisbane, Ipswich as well as the Gold Coast areas. About the Opportunity As Real Community Servies grows, so does the opportunities we have available. We currently have positions opening in our fantastic SDA house. In this role you will be fully trained and supported by our Allied Health Team of Nurses. This opportunity provides you with excellent training, working with a 1:1 24/7 active overnight Participant, so if you are the right fit for the team you can expect a solid roster with flexible hours depending on your availability. You will be responsible for caring for our participant who have high intensity care needs. With training provided you will be responsible but not limited to – Dressing Changes Hoisting Tracheostomy management All aspects of personal care Domestic duties Medication management Skills – Full Australian working rights Work experience or certificate in disability support work Current first aid and CPR or willing to obtain Blue card (working with children check) or willing to obtain before employment National Disability worker screening clearance (yellow card) or willing to obtain before employment Drivers Licence Smart phone with internet access Two current (within the last 2 years) professional references from a supervisor (essential) If you are passionate about supporting people living with a disability and would like to work in a role that is both challenging and rewarding with a dedicated Gympie team, we would love to hear from you.
