About the role As a Support Worker FSWS, you will undertake early intervention and preventative support work that builds the capacity of communities, families and individuals to address their needs using tailored case management services.
Key Accountabilities: • Build trusting relationships with families to increase their safety, stability , wellbeing, and capacity • Communicate with families openly and with respect for differences in personal, family, and cultural beliefs and values.
• Alongside families and other key stakeholders identify issues impacting on them and the support required to address these issues.
• Work with Case Worker to develop, maintain and review tailored case management plans to address areas of concern.
• Support clients to attend meetings • Develop an exit strategy for clients from the program that provides for the continued provision of external support where required.
About your attributes and experience Knowledge of local services and community A knowledge of Child Protection procedures.
Ability to communicate clearly and sensitively with children/young people and adults in different situations.
