Support Worker - Dubbo

As a Disability Support Worker with Oyster Care, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day care of our Participants with physical disabilities and/or mental illness.
Oyster Care Support Workers enable our participants to reach their full potential by helping them achieve their individual goals.
Criteria and Skills:Everyone is encouraged to apply but female applicants are preferred.Prefer someone with experience in handling complex mental health needs and behavioral challenges.Excellent work ethic, strong oral communication, and written skills (e.g data recording and form completion).Have an empathetic and person-centered approach when supporting our Participants in their own home and/or out in the community.
Treat them how you would treat your own family member.Familiar with de-escalation techniques for heightened behaviors.Having a background in Support Work / Nursing and/or experience supporting a variety of NDIS participants with mental illness, intellectual and physical disabilities.Essential Requirements:Must be willing to travel around Dubbo.Must be willing to provide personal care and community access for both male and female.Must own an insured vehicle and be willing to utilize said vehicle in supporting participants.Must have some form of experience in Disability, Mental Health, or Aged Care.Those with relevant Certificate III and Certificate IV will be prioritized.Benefits of this position:Competitive rates plus overtime pay.Travel reimbursements.Professional development assistance.A Stable and Consistent Work Roster.An amazing team to help you every step of the way.Schedule:Morning shift.Afternoon shift.Public holidays.Weekend availability.The roster will be rotating, including some weekend work.
