We currently have a position that has opened in the Gympie region, to support our participants to ensure that they are meeting their goals.
We are looking for support workers who are reliable, warm, respectful, and dedicated.
We are looking for passionate support workers who can build a strong relationship with our participants, as well as have experience with hoisting, continence support, motor neurone disease, mental health, and medication management.
In our SDA house, you will be working with a 1:1 24/7 active overnight participant, and in our SIL house, you will be working with a 1:2 24/7 inactive overnight participants, each with their own level of care needed.
With training provided, you will be responsible but not limited to:
Dressing changes Hoisting All aspects of personal care Domestic duties Medication management Required Minimum 1 year of disability support work (essential) The ability to work independently and effectively Effective verbal and written communication skills Full Australian working rights Current first aid and CPR Blue card (working with children check) or National Disability worker screening clearance (yellow card) Driver's licence Smartphone with internet access Two current (within the last 2 years) professional references from a supervisor (essential) Please note: Our participants are looking for female support workers to join their SIL support team on a 24/7 active overnight roster with full availability.
