About ECHO

ECHO Community Services is a registered charity providing care to the elderly to help them live in their own home with dignity while still maintaining their independence.
We provide in-home services 7 days per week for Home Care Package and 5 days per week for CHSP.
Our goal is to provide services at the same time, on the same day and with the same team of Support Workers which means that you know the people who are coming and the time they will arrive. Having the same support workers providing services, in particular, medication prompts and personal care, maintains the person's dignity and well-being. You know and can trust the people attending. There is continuity of care for people who receive our services.

The role: As a Qualified Support Worker, you will have the rewarding opportunity to assist elderly individuals in achieving their goals and maximizing their independence. Your responsibilities may include:
Providing personal care and assistance with daily activities (social support)Supporting individuals in developing life skills and accessing community resourcesBuilding meaningful relationships based on trust, empathy, and dignityCollaborating with a multidisciplinary teamPromoting a safe and inclusive environmentDesired Skills and ExperienceIdeally we are looking for a candidate who can work a minimum of three days a week and on weekends as required.
Certificate III/IV in Individual Support Work or Aged CareStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAged Care experienceAbility to work effectively both independently and as part of a teamEmpathy, patience and a non-judgmental attitudeWillingness to undergo relevant training and certificationsCurrent Motor Vehicle licence and a reliable carExperience working with clients who have dementiaWillingness to learnReliable and promptAdditional Benefits:
