Support Worker - Calvary Flora McDonald About the role We are looking for casual Hospitality Assistants for our residential home at Cowandilla.As a passionate and experienced Hospitality Assistant, Cleaners and Laundry assistants, you will work as a member of our large hospitality team.You will be responsible for maintaining a high standard of catering, and presentation whilst handling, preparing and storing food, in addition to associated cleaning tasks.Key Responsibilities: Assist with the catering service to meet residents' food requirements.
This will include food preparation, food storage, food hygiene, distribution and serving meals.Follow written protocols for special dietary requests.Assist with the preparation of the Dining rooms.Work with the food safety plan and legislative guidelines.Adhere to infection control, manual handling, WHS procedures.Maintain efficient and open communication.What you bring: Experience in basic food preparation preferred but not essential.Excellent customer service approach, friendly and bubbly personality.Effective time management skills and experience in a fast-paced environment.Basic understanding of the requirements to support residents living with dementia including those who display challenging behaviours and also basic knowledge of the requirements of the Aged Care standards will be highly regarded.A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission-based organisation.Why work for Calvary?
