Casual hours availableWork for the world's largest humanitarian organisationAbout the role The Humanitarian Settlement Program (HSP) provides services and support to migrants and refugees settling in Australia. The Program assists Clients to build the skills and knowledge they need to become self-reliant and contributing members of our society. Services delivered to HSP Clients are determined by the assessment of their needs and achieved through individualised case management plans.
In this role you will support refugees and humanitarian entrants within the Humanitarian Support Program (HSP) with entry-level information, education and practical support. In addition, you will also coordinate, supervise, train and support volunteers.
What you will bring Ability to speak a community language preferred - Kurdish Kurmanji, Arabic, Farsi, BurmeseWorking knowledge and relevant experience in community services and working with clients from culturally and linguistically diverse backgroundsProven ability to collaborate effectively and diplomatically with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholdersExperience in coordinating, managing, training and supporting volunteersVerbal and written communication skillsSound understanding of issues affecting people impacted by migrationSound understanding of Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel and OutlookWorking with children checkDriver's licenceWhy work with us? Further information This role is covered by the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Award - Level 3. Hourly rate $37.36 + casual loading + superannuation + access to salary packaging.
