Pearl Sunshine Coast is expanding north and we're on the lookout for a remarkable individual who genuinely loves working in the aged care sector, possesses a positive attitude and genuine care for their clients to join our growing team. This position is casual with the potential to be moved to permanent part time after the initial probationary period. This role is for the central Sunshine Coast region. We are seeking someone who is available Mondays, Wednesday, and Fridays, with more work available other days for the right applicant.
Here's a glimpse of what the role entails:
Social support; accompanying clients on outing to various locations such as shops, the banks, cafes or for leisurely walks.
Transportation; Assisting clients with their appointments or providing respite care.
Meal preparation.
Respite care; Assisting with exercises, dressing, showering, toileting, and supervising the self-administration of medications. There will also be domestic duties involved with some clients; vaccuuming and mopping, kitchen and bathroom cleaning and other light domestic duties.
What we're seeking:
Certificate III/IV in aged care or equivalent qualification required.
First aid and CPR certification required.
Possession of a well maintained, insured vehicle and a smart phone.
Manual handling certification or willingness to obtain.
Friendly demeanour, reliability, excellent communication, ability to work autonomously.
