About the roleDue to an internal promotion, Hanwha Defense Australia is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Support Services Manager to join our team.
The role can be based in Avalon or Melbourne CBD (Regular travel to Avalon will be required) and will be responsible for the seamless delivery of support contracts and related services to the Defence customer.
You will lead a multi-disciplinary team of technical and project professionals with a focus on delivering the highest quality maintenance, repair and overhaul outcomes to our customer, the Commonwealth of Australia.What you'll be doingProviding leadership and direction to the specialist teams with accountability for delivering contractual requirements and outcomes for Support Contracts and Support related activitiesEstablishing and maintain stakeholder relationships through effective communication, negotiation, and issues management to ensure project deliverables are met.
This includes HDA internal stakeholders, clients, contractors, and suppliersIdentifying potential future support opportunities and ensuring readiness to expand to accommodate future business growthManaging Support Services project finances, governance, and contract performance reportingOverseeing the Support Contract budget, scope and schedule to ensure the support services are delivered as plannedLiaising with the Defence customer on support contract requirements and deliveryEnsuring all contractual key performance indicators are achieved and opportunities for continuous improvement are identified and implemented.
This will include close collaboration with the customer and HDA internal stakeholdersManaging risks to ensure that key risks are identified, monitored and mitigatedConducting regular project review meetings and providing reports on project statusDeveloping, implementing, and continuous improvement of internal policies and processes, particularly those relating to Support Services.What we're looking forSignificant experience in a management or leadership role within a support services or sustainment project management environmentStrong technical understanding of support services operations, including logistics, maintenance, and technical supportDemonstrable Defence experience working in large scale, complex project delivery role/sExperience in utilizing ASDEFCON or similar suite (i.e.
