With your can-do attitude, you will be responsible for providing general assistance in the full range of domestic duties to ensure our residents are able to "Live Life to the Full" in our home-like environment.We are looking to hire a casual employee who has previous experience in laundry and housekeeping.
This role is based in our Casino facility.As a Support Service Employee your duties will include but not be limited to:Assist with full range of domestic dutiesClean picture frames, wall ornaments and sanitize all towel dispensers, light and air-conditioning switchesBe responsible for the general cleanliness of the kitchen, including all appliances, storage areas, work benches and floorsPrepare clothing, garments and linen for washing and drying and perform those duties using safe handling of laundry chemicalsMake beds, change linen, turn mattress where necessaryWet dust all picture frames and wall ornamentsWet wipe and sanitize all towel dispensers, light and air-conditioning switchesWipe over all lights in front foyer, lounge, activities room, and at the entrance.Clean exhaust hoods in the kitchenMinimum Requirements:A current NSW Driver LicenseSensitive to the needs of the elderly in a residential care settingAbility to work under minimum supervisionEffective communication skills both written and verbalBasic computer skillUnderstanding of workplace safetyExperience as a Maintenance Person in Aged Care or similar industry is desirableAble to provide evidence of COVID-19 & influenza vaccinationAbout Southern Cross Care (NSW & ACT)We are a not-for-profit organisation with a mission to empower older people to 'live life to the full'.
