The RoleOur Support Service Workers provide all hospitality aspects of our Aged Care home such as catering, cleaning, and laundry services. We have various shifts to offer flexibility. You will build strong relationships with our residents, families, and Care Staff, contributing to the optimisation of resident choice and essentially creating a strong sense of home in accordance with our values supporting our resident's quality of life.
What you will do:Preparation and presentation of dietary services, including meals and drinksContribute to an effective laundry service including item checking & labellingCleaning resident rooms, bathrooms, and living areasAssisting the chef with meal preparation, cleaning and general kitchen dutiesDistribution of meals to residents & dining room servicesCompleting required documentation and reportingEnsure handwashing and other supplies are available and replenishedAd hoc support to the broader team as requiredWhat you will bring:Currently hold an NDIS Worker Clearance (or willing to obtain) – MANDATORYUnlimited working rights in Australia - MANDATORYHospitality or Customer Service experience in a fast-paced environmentExcellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skillsCompassion and EmpathyAn understanding of resident rights, Aged Care Accreditation Standards and Outcomes (highly regarded but not essential)Who we are:PresCare Alexandra Gardens is proudly part of the Apollo Care Alliance, an innovative national organisation with a unique vision to support not-for-profit aged care communities.
