The Support Officer - Programs and Operational Support plays a crucial role in providing high-level support for communications, development, reporting, evaluation, and data analysis functions within the Programs Operational Support (POS) unit.This position is responsible for assisting in various aspects of program management, ensuring smooth operations, and facilitating effective communication and decision-making processes.The position reports to the Manager, Programs and Operational Support and can be located in any Office of Industrial Relations regional office in Queensland.To be successful in this role you will need to have -• Demonstrated ability to lead the provision of high-quality administrative services with knowledge, or ability to rapidly acquire knowledge, of the legislation, standards and policies affecting the administration of the Work Health and Safety legislation in Queensland.
• Demonstrated ability to manage projects or key tasks to meet client needs within established timeframes.• Demonstrated ability to collate and analyse information and data to produce comprehensive reports for use in operational, strategic planning and external communications.
• Demonstrated experience and ability of MS Office suite to support the collection, analysis and reporting on large volumes of both structured and unstructured data.• Demonstrated ability to work effectively independently and within a multi-disciplinary team with possession of highly developed written, oral and communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to liaise, consult and negotiate with a range of professional and other staff.• A current driver's licence.
