About the OPPORTUNITY We have a new opportunity for a Support Engineering Integration Analyst to join our Maritime Australia business on the Hunter Class Frigate Program based at Osborne, Adelaide, with the flexibility for the role to be performed at other state locations.
Reporting to the Supportability Engineering Lead, you will be part of an inclusive and supportive team, and will be employed on a permanent and full time basis.
We embrace flexible work arrangements at BAE Systems Australia, including working a 9-day fortnight and hybrid working.
BAE Systems Maritime Australia (formerly known as ASC Shipbuilding), has been contracted to design and deliver the world's most advanced anti-submarine warfare frigates to the Royal Australian Navy.
The Hunter Class Frigate Program (HCFP) will create and sustain more than 5,000 jobs across BAE Systems and the wider Australian Defence supply chain over the life of the program.
Key responsibilities include: Perform support engineering/design for support integration analyst activities Utilise the Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software tool to review 3D modules of ship equipment/systems and ship compartments Assist Engineers with the review of ship compartments and routed systems, report non-compliances to design rules and propose solutions to the design issues Maintain engineering support design documents, and update the engineering design documentation suite Collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, maintaining a positive culture within the Hunter Class Frigate Program (HCFP) Attend and contribute to ship zonal review meetings, and support engineering working group meetings/workshops Assist in the development and the continuous improvement of engineering design for support internal processes and best practices About YOU Maritime/shipbuilding experience in an engineering/production/technical position - Candidates with a relevant technical background in a similar industry will also be considered Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a large team environment Good attention to detail, self-motivation, and the drive to improve current processes and solve problems Whilst not essential, experience utilising CAD software tools will be highly regarded We believe in hiring for potential, we know that some candidates hesitate if they don't tick all the boxes.
