SUPPORT COORDINATOR, THE WAY BACK SUPPORT SERVICE FIXED TERM FULL-TIME KINGAROY About RFQ Richmond Fellowship Queensland (RFQ) is a well-respected not for profit provider of community sector mental health services, serving the community for over 50 years.
RFQ operates across multiple service sites ranging across Brisbane City, Toowoomba, Caboolture, Logan, West Moreton, Gold Coast, Wide Bay, and Townsville.
We also have multiple formal partnerships with organisations such as Hospital and Health Services, Primary Health Networks, Beyond Blue, and more.

Your Next Role!
The Way Back Support Service is an aftercare suicide prevention program, and the Support Coordinator is responsible for providing short term non-clinical support coordination services.
This role is both challenging and highly rewarding.
As a Support Coordinator, you will: Integrate and collaborate with existing services to enhance the immediacy of follow-up responses for individuals at high risk of suicide or those who have recently attempted suicide, in line with RFQ's Models of Practice.
Work alongside all RFQ staff to cultivate a culture that values lived experience, fosters genuine and open relationships, and promotes conflict resolution, self-responsibility, mutual respect, and personal growth.

Please note, this role requires being on call.
You will need: Diploma or Certificate 4 in Community Services or related discipline and/or significant demonstrated experience working with people with mental illness and/or people who are experiencing ideation/crisis.
Understanding of suicidal behaviours, suicidal crisis/ideation and its effects on individuals, families and the whole community.
Ability to develop and implement support plans with clients.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team and contribute positively and constructively to achieve the organisation's objectives.
Demonstrated effective interpersonal, oral and written communication skills including the ability to advocate for clients and the organisation, and make accurate and timely written records.
Demonstrated ability to plan, manage, and work to achieve team and individual priorities and capacities.
Valid driver's licence and access to a registered roadworthy and insured vehicle (minimum third-party property).
