Our Social Welfare team plays a critical role in providing social welfare interventions to individuals and their families, empowering people to adapt to life's changes and challenges.
Here's what you'll do:Manage a diverse caseload of clients and strengthen their and their families' ability to connect with informal, formal, and mainstream supports.Utilise your knowledge of NDIS funding to help our clients understand the funding set out in their plan.Support clients' budgets and assist in their requests for additional funding through NDIA at renewal or significant changes.Provide information on services and supports that are best suited to the client.Assist clients in resolving points of crisis and any issues they may have with service delivery.Assist clients in understanding the funding set out in their plan and planning their budget around the funding.Support clients in working towards their goals as outlined in their NDIS plan.Assist clients in requesting additional funding through NDIA should they experience significant changes in their circumstances.Provide support when a client's plan is due for review.Provide welfare support to MSWA clients as required.Here's what you'll need:Experience within a similar role with a working knowledge of NDIS funding and plans.A driver's license and a tertiary qualification within the community sector will give you the edge.And the benefits?As a not-for-profit organisation, we offer generous salary packaging options—currently up to $18,500 can be packaged to cover living expenses, mortgage payments, or car leasing, meaning you pay less tax on your income!
