Role: Support and Outreach Coordinator - Balgal Beach, QLD
Hours: Must be available Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday10-15 hours per week (5 hours per day)
Key Responsibilities: Support Responsibilities: Provide personalized support to an individual with mobility challenges and mental health concerns, focusing on daily personal care, cooking, and social support.Assist with domestic duties and ensuring the participant's physical well-being, including support with mobility aids (wheelchair and walker).Maintain a supportive and positive environment, adapting care to meet the participant's evolving needs.Ensure that the participant's appointments and social activities are supported with transportation and planning.Work in collaboration with the participant's support coordinator to align with NDIS plan goals.Outreach Responsibilities: Engage with the local community and businesses in remote areas to promote support services and build partnerships.Utilize outreach strategies to increase awareness of services, including in-person visits and social media outreach.Act as a liaison between National Disability Care and local organizations to promote disability support services.Collaborate with the wider team to provide comprehensive, high-quality support services.Requirements: Female support worker preferred (as per participant's request).Outgoing, positive, and resourceful attitude.Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.Previous experience in disability support, specifically providing personal care and domestic assistance.Skills and Qualifications: Must meet the client's preference for a female support worker.100 Points of Identification.Valid Driver's License with access to a reliable vehicle.Car Insurance and Registration.NDIS Workers Screening Clearance.NDIS Workers Orientation Module Certificate.Police Check.Working With Children Check (WWCC).First Aid and CPR Certification.Relevant experience in the disability sector, with a focus on support work in remote areas.Additional Requirements: Must own a car that is an SUV or larger due to the remote location.How to Apply: Please email your resume to
