The Role

Reporting to the Head of Integrated Business Planning (IBP) the role of the Supply Planning Manager is to drive the supply strategy and ensure that future supply volume schedules are fully supported by assumptions based upon demonstrated performance and capabilities. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders, including production, procurement, logistics and sales to develop and execute robust supply chain strategies that support business objectives and drive operational excellence.
This is a key role within the business, and we are seeking an experienced and professional candidate to bring insight, innovation and inspiration to the business, whilst delivering high quality outcomes in a fast paced and results driven environment.
 
The scope of the role includes, but is not limited to:

Lead supply planning teams (Schedulers and material planners) to ensure demand and stock levels are supported through the production lines of their sites and manage the long term plan for their sites Identify, negotiate and resolve conflicts with respect to product availability and order-promising integrity Support a learning environment for the team, nurturing talent and ensuring a strong succession plan for the team while ensuring all team members are inspired about their work and responsibilities Prepare for the weekly / Monthly Pre-Supply and Supply Reviews and present/discuss; prior supply chain performance (drivers of misses and improvement plans), any supply constraints in delivering the latest demand plan (including change requests), present costed options to resolve constraints and propose recommendations. Create a master plan that can be used for detailed material and capacity planning as well as financial planning and manage capacity constrained lines through phasing or through business decisions to ensure IBP principles upheld with 1 number across all of the system. Analyse forecast performance and make recommendations to supply chain on inventory and/or capacity planning strategies NPD management and successful launches to support business growth Maintain planned lead times, lot sizes, safety stocks, delivery times, and order file data for all MPS items. Provide transport/logistics with a master plan to assist in distribution planning and work collaboratively when constraints on either side arise to optimise production and customer service. Work with Supplier Schedulers to manage schedule changes and materials planning as required Lead the continuous improvement efforts for their supply chains across functions The person
 
To be successful in the role you will have demonstrated experience (at least 3 years) in a similar role, preferably within the FMCG industry. You will be Degree qualified in a Business, Engineering or Science discipline and preferably an external Supply chain qualification (APICS or similar). You will have experience working with integrated demand planning software and ERP systems. You will have a know-how and application of S&OP/IBP planning practices and processes and have proven stakeholder management skills at all levels along with proven track of people management.
You will have strong communication skills, be analytically minded and a methodical problem solver. An adaptable working style, strong time management skills and the willingness to contribute and lead a high performing team is crucial.
