Your responsibilities will include:
Purchasing & Procurement: Oversee daily purchasing of goods and services, ensuring compliance with council policies.Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records and conduct regular stock audits to optimize inventory levels.Team Leadership: Supervise and support the Purchasing and Stores Officer, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently.Financial Collaboration: Work with the Accounts Officer for timely processing of orders and payments.Data Analysis: Analyse spending trends to enhance our purchasing strategies.What We're Looking For: We're looking for a candidate who is:
Experienced in inventory management and procurement policies.A strong communicator with excellent customer service skills.A natural leader who enjoys teamwork and supervising others.Detail-oriented with strong time management skills.Knowledgeable about safe materials handling and storage practices.Qualifications Needed: Current Police Clearance.Positive Notice Blue Card (Working with Children).Unrestricted Driver's License.Construction White Card (prior to start date).High-risk forklift ticket (LF) or ability to obtain one.Qualifications in Procurement, Fleet Management Support, or Business Administration.Locals are encouraged to apply!
