We are looking for a Supply Chain Support Analyst who will support several categories in the Aluminium BU.
The role will work closely with and support the Process Chemicals and By-Products Category leader on assigned projects which contribute to the delivery of optimal value and solutions to the Rio Tinto Business Unit.

You will be responsible for the following:
Preparation and management of reports across the global procurement raw materials and by-products categories aligned to individual reporting requirements.Providing analytical, commercial and administrative support across the global procurement raw materials and by-products categories.Supporting implementation of end-to-end supply chains.Managing execution and day to day operations of the supply chain (i.e - scheduling, coordinating, communicating, monitoring etc).Support global procurement raw materials and by-products categories with sourcing projects, category and contract management tasks (e.g.
– contract execution, vendor performance reviews etc).Engaging with, communicating to, and influencing global internal and external stakeholders.Occasional site travel to Rio Tinto sites and vendor operations.About You
To succeed in this role, you will have:
Tertiary qualification (Diploma or above).Proven time management skills, problem solving skills and ability to influence and negotiate.Proven skills in applications such as PowerPoint, Word and Excel to be able to analyse data, generate reports, model commercial outcomes, and develop strategy documents, recommendation documents and interactive presentations.Ability to articulate and present complex end to end supply chain solutions with internal and external stakeholders at all levels i.e –senior management through to operational stakeholders.Experience in collaboration platforms, such as Sharepoint, Teams etc.Experience in Power BI and SAP is desirable, but not essential.An ability to work unsupervised, be a self-starter and take the initiative to identify and then drive opportunities for business improvement.Ability to be flexible and pivot your skill sets to support the changing business needs that may involve training and/or personal development through new and emerging applications and platforms.Where you will be working
The Rio Tinto Global Raw Materials team is based in Brisbane and provides supply chain services that deliver value to the Rio Tinto Group through the strategic sourcing and buying of goods and services for the aluminium smelting and refining operations.
