About the role: The Supply Chain Specialist role is a newly created position designed to identify and drive efficiencies within Arrotex Operations and our management of Third-Party Logistics (3 PL) providers.
In this role, the incumbent is expected to champion process review, driving business improvement and recommending operational model changes within our 3 PL providers.
It is also expected that the incumbent will utilise their extensive Supply Chain experience working on location at 3 PL premises (as required) identifying Continuous Improvement (CI) opportunities within each organisation.
Role & Responsibilities: Primary day to day stewardship of the 3 PL / Pre-Wholesaler performance metrics, both operationally and financially.
Responsible for optimisation of SOPs (standard operating procedures) that ensure finished goods handling at the 3 PLs are followed to maximise efficiency for Arrotex, alongside adherence to regulatory standards and that staff are properly trained to handle those goods.
Drill down into the cost components of the 3 PL operations, challenge and drive optimisation, working with the wider Arrotex Operations team to ensure cross-functional understanding and alignment of business processes.
Develop tracking mechanisms and reports to ensure that 3 PL performance is proactively tracked, including all key operational measurements are optimised and benchmarked regularly.
Collaborate cross-functionally inside Arrotex to ensure all stakeholders work optimally alongside Logistics and the 3 PL providers.
Develop and measure KPIs designed to drive efficiencies, ultimately developing an Operational Dashboard the team can reference weekly to drive identified deliverables.
Responsibility for managing the regular review of the freight and international shipping market and determining tender and contracting needs & frequency to optimise cost, service, and availability to meet business needs.
Alongside the GM Strategy and Business Development, meet with key Import Freight providers / Freight Forwarders / 4 PLs and internal stakeholders, including Supply Planning Manager, regularly to track cost vs budget, service levels, and project future needs.
Be a key Supply Chain contributor and driver of a successful S&OP process.
Strategy: Be a major contributor and/or leader to Distribution and Warehousing Strategy and Projects.
Drive own technical and leadership development with the support of GM Strategy and Business Development.
Skills & Experience: Extensive Distribution and Logistics experience at a senior level, with a strong understanding of the End-to-End Supply Chain and the interdependencies.
Strong interpersonal skills gained through extensive experience in working with operational personnel.
Ability to utilise ERP systems to develop systems, trackers, and exception reporting by working with and understanding the capability of Data Analysts; be data and systems savvy.
Ability to develop strong working relationships and communicate with employees at all levels from varying backgrounds.
Experience of working in a high growth organisation, with experience in pharmaceutical distribution and FMCG warehouse operations.
Cross-functional influence and stakeholder management.
Effective interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop business cases, express opinions, information and key points clearly and concisely, and effectively work with others to resolve interpersonal or inter-departmental tensions in a positive way.
An understanding of and complete commitment to confidentiality, privacy and data protection and security.
Strong problem-solving and influencing skills, to identify opportunities and execute outcomes, working with key stakeholders as a team.
Excellent skills in Microsoft Office 365 including Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, Share Point, One Drive, Forms, etc.
