Purchasing, Procurement & Inventory (Manufacturing, Transport & Logistics) Our client is a dynamic high profile, profitable, medical device distributor with an enviable reputation for challenging the status quo and bringing new products to market in this critical hospital market nationally.
Reporting to the Head of Operations and based in Brisbane, just south of the bridge, you will be accountable for optimizing (read, make more efficient!) all aspects of the supply chain including procurement, inventory management, logistics, and management of a small warehouse team.
You will collaborate closely with other cross-functional teams as an internal supplier and ensure the end-to-end processes deliver products on time, in full, to specification for both internal and external customers.
To be considered and successful in this role you must possess tertiary qualifications in either logistics, supply chain, procurement or a similar field, with a minimum of 5-8 years' experience managing a small team with a deep understanding of demand and supply planning, warehouse operations, inventory management, vendor management, and contract negotiation (such as SLA's). Proficiency with related warehouse technology is expected and experience in FMCG/distribution would be highly regarded.
You will be an exceptional communicator, collaborative, proficient with the skills you present and possess, a true team player who thrives on serving others for the business to be able to deliver the highest value to their customers and stakeholders.
This is a busy and varied role, work has begun to simplify the core activities, and from time to time there will be a requirement to get on the floor to pick, pack and dispatch when demand peaks due to extraordinary demand.
