The Organisation The AH-64E Boeing Apache helicopter has been selected for the Australian Army and will be coming into service soon, joining our current Boeing Defence Australia (BDA) supported rotary wing fleet of Chinook medium lift and EC-135 training helicopters. BDA supports these inspiring programs with Engineering, Maintenance, Logistics, Quality, System Safety and Management skills. BDA is looking for personnel to support this exciting opportunity.
This position will be based at Enoggera, Brisbane, QLD. BDA provides a range of design, modification, production, repair and continuing airworthiness services to support Defence's aircraft fleets. We work hand-in-hand with our customers to develop and deliver critical capabilities to support their mission now and into the future.
About theopportunity We are seeking an experienced all-rounder Supply Chain Specialist, to support the AH-64E Apache helicopter and partner fleets. This position will work closely and collaboratively with key stakeholders, applying your technical supply chain expertise to achieve objectives that drive innovation and supply chain improvements with the vision to maintain aircraft availability, as well as contribute to the development of our future strategies. As a skilled Supply Chain Specialist, you will apply your knowledge and experience to provide the following services for the Apache fleet:
Provide support to the Supply Chain ManagerFacilitate supplier/subcontractor business relationships, in-service requirements and performance to contractual obligations and expectationsDevelop and participate in the implementation of supply base plans to support customer, program, Australian Industry Capability and commodity strategiesAnalyse and monitor supply chain quality, delivery and financial performance data to identify risks and opportunitiesDevelop mitigation plans, identify and participate in supplier and business improvement activitiesPlatform health performance reporting (demand satisfaction/asset readiness etc)Manage and monitor Supply Customer Accounts, program stocktaking and assurance programsIdentify and resolve customer supply chain issues and discrepanciesLogistics support administration and manage Logistics system IT accesses/authoritiesMaintain logistics information management system integrityBe an integral part of the Apache capability About you To be successful in this role you will have:
Demonstrated 5 years + experience in Defence aerospace/Foreign Military Sales (FMS) supply chain managementExperience in Defence warehousing and distribution systems and methodologiesA superior knowledge of the Australian Defence Force Electronic Supply Chain ManualKnowledge of exporting/importing practices and regulationsAuditing Experience and/or QualificationsThe ability to work with a high level of autonomy in a fast-paced environmentWell-developed written and oral communication and negotiation skills to facilitate open interaction between key internal and external stakeholdersDemonstrated experience in identifying, establishing and promoting supply process improvements at the project level Please outline in your application your experience and current accesses in Defence logistics management systems.
