About the team.
This Supply Chain position is located in Ballarat or Melbourne and reports to the Logistics & shipping Manager – AUS.
About the role.
The Cost Analysts key responsibilities are ensuring accurate reconciliation and timely processing of freight and storage costs and using data analysis and Power BI to identify savings and improve processes for transformational change.
Accountabilities of the role include Ensure accurate freight costing and maintain freight rates in SAP.
Identify and resolve SAP freight discrepancies, including errors in carrier and equipment selection.
Optimize logistics planning and 3PL engagement to improve efficiency and reduce errors.
Track energy prices, publish fuel levies, and maintain in SAP.
Manage freight and storage invoice queues and collaborate with 3PLs to reduce discrepancies.
Develop BI and analytics initiatives to provide insights that enhance business visibility and profitability.
Support logistics operational activities as required Leadership Principles.

About you.
Qualifications: Previous experience in a finance-related role ( required ) Experience in SAP Environment ( highly desirable ) or general ERP experience ( required ) Knowledge and experience handling supplier contracts Experience in a similar role within the Frozen Food or FMCG Industry preferred Experience in development and collation of regular reports/data from external sources Prior exposure to an operational environment Knowledge of the Chain of Responsibility legislation Proficient in Microsoft Excel Drivers licence Skills: Strong relationship-building skills, collaborating effectively with internal and external stakeholders Proactive, eager to learn, and motivated to exceed role expectations.
