Are you detail-oriented with a passion for optimizing inventory management? We are seeking a dedicated Supply Chain Officer to support our client's purchasing division to ensure that the supply chain runs smoothly and efficiently.
About The Company Our client is internationally recognised as the largest and trusted supplier in their sector.
About the Role A Temp to Perm contract for a supply chain officer who can place and manage purchase orders to ensure inventory gaps are identified and communicated to relevant stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities: Place and manage purchase orders to maintain optimal inventory levels. Identify and communicate inventory gaps to relevant stakeholders. Collaborate with suppliers to negotiate favorable terms and ensure timely delivery. Monitor market trends and adjust purchasing strategies accordingly. Assist in the implementation of new products as part of any growth strategy. Assist in the preparation and execution of regular cycle counts. Assist with and work on cost-saving plans in the reduction of aged stock (SLOB SLow and OBsolete). The Successful Applicant will demonstrate the following skills and attributes: Proven experience in inventory management or purchasing. Software experience: Advanced Excel, SAP/ERP experience essential. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
